CBJ Parks & Recreation

  • Initiated a staff highlight series for Parks & Rec Month, July 2025. Identified the concept, pitched it, and built it into a weekly release scheduled weekly throughout July 2025.
  • Selected and coordinated staff across various sections of Parks and Recreation, from the pools and the ice rink to the Jensen-Olson Arboretum, and interviewed each on camera.
  • Shot, directed, and edited every installment. Scheduled and published the series across social throughout the month.

  • Built the full promotional campaign around it, with the video as the lead asset. The department set a record for winter pass sales that season, surpassing 2024.

  • Produced a short-form social reel to fill open booking nights, cut from drone footage and stills I had shot on a personal stay at the cabin.

  • Wrote and designed on-screen captions for a social-first, sound-off audience.

  • Additional ground and aerial imagery from the same shoot is still in use on the CBJ Amalga Cabin page.

  • Produced a short-form project update reel for the ORV Riding Park, using trending audio and on-screen captions built for a sound-off feed.

  • Shot, edited, and delivered to social with a direct call to action recruiting volunteers.

Launched Parks and Recreation's Instagram account - @cbjparks

The department had discussed starting an Instagram presence for some time without moving on it. Working with the graphics and marketing coordinator, I led the launch: set up the account, established the visual approach and posting cadence, and built the initial content library. The channel gave the department a direct line to an audience its existing platforms were not reaching.

Northern State Media

  • Producer, director, and editor. Delivered a three minute promotional infomercial on a one week turnaround.

  • Rebuilt the format from the client’s previous single-camera interview: two-camera setup with teleprompter and gimbal, studio lighting, and a designed background.

  • Finished with cinematic B-roll and animated titles to carry the key points.

  • Shot and edited a brand promotional video for Cariloha.
  • Produced for in-cabin broadcast aboard Celebrity Cruises ships, playing to passengers ahead of port arrival.
  • Directed, shot, and edited a 40 minute documentary following Bitcoin Veterans at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville.
  • Traveled and filmed over four days as a solo crew, covering the organization’s events and interviews throughout.
  • Delivered the feature documentary, a trailer, and nearly 1,000 finished photographs.

  • Produced, shot, and edited a profile video honoring the Juneau Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year, recognizing years of volunteer litter cleanup across the community.
  • Conducted the interview and built the piece as a surprise reveal, with the subject unaware of the award until the premiere.
  • Premiered to a live audience at the Chamber’s annual awards dinner.

Built the brand from the ground up for a new Juneau boat rental business. Designed the logo, selected the color palette and typography, and created the full set of graphic elements. Designed and built the website around that identity, so the brand carried consistently from the mark through to the site.

Juneau Gold Rush Days

  • Managed social media for Juneau Gold Rush Days across Facebook and Instagram over a 64 day campaign leading into the 34th annual event.
  • Produced the content, with short-form video as the lead format. Video posts outperformed photo posts by more than 2x on average, and the top organic Reel drove 713,076 views on its own.
  • Planned and ran the paid promotion on a $150 total budget, split between an event response ad and an awareness ad.
  • Delivered a full performance report to the client with results by format and placement, plus recommendations for 2027.
